FT, It is the right wing that has politicized the global warming issue. This is no mere warming back up after a cooling down period. That the CO2 level is higher than it has been in thousands of years, and correlates closely with the burning of fossil fuels is a scientific fact, not a political opinion.

<< FYI, the geographic "North Pole" used to be in the area the Hawaiian Islands occupy today. What used to be occupying what we now call the North Pole was primarily water. >>

The Geographic North and South Poles never move. They are defined as the points where the Earth turns on it's axis. It is the continents that move freely around the Earth. The poles are always the coldest places on Earth because they get the least sunlight.

<< At that time the two small continents under the Antarctic were free of ice... once about 30,000 years ago and sometime during the Jurassic period as well -- they are digging up dinosaurs there and have discovered huge oil fields. >>

30,000 years? A rapidly moving continent moves a couple of inches a year. In 30,000 years a movement of 6 miles would be pretty fast. The large dinosaurs were gone 50 million years ago. It is you that needs to bone up on science, not the scientists. And you need to start listening to them instead of wrong wingers.
