A-man. It appears we have a lot in common. We both wish we could have gotten a broker to allow us to take back our trades up to 90 days after the fact (Voltie said he knows of one broker, but he won't let on who it really is). I have been lurking since last year and finally started getting into the cc strategy as you described your interest. But, I've got my journeyman's experience with cc's using the ELON vehicle.....Polvie never mentioned I might get gas and need some Pepcid AC to settle my tummy. [BTW Polvie ... Dealer did a nice job of soothing my anxiety when I posted on this thread. Now I hardly wince now when we talk about the Beanos. But I should have been on my toes when it came to beans, they always give me bad gas.] Anyway, stickin' to my story, I realized I could use Naked puts to generate some cash too (at that time I was near the bottom of the barrel lookin' up at the sky wonderin' what I could do to salvage my ignorance & do my duty to pay taxes because I'd run up too many short-term capital losses). Specifically, NPs come in handy when some of the shares I follow have tanked so bad. RE my current NPs...I'm doing nicely with NTAP sep 75 & Dec 80 (when NTAP was trading at 73 and 84 respectively), kind of okay with QCOM Oct 65 (especially after today's move; the q was 67 at the trade) and still pondering my ELON feb 60 contracts that I sold for close to $20 bucks each (done 4/3/00 when ELON traded around 65 1/2). What type of positions have you been focusing on with NPs? I'd be curious if you feel like talkin'. Might add a little entertainment to counterbalance the cc chatter in the background.
