A question to the thread: I am interested in learning about the advantages that AMAT holds over other semicap companies (both as a business and as an investment). It seems to me that some semicaps (e.g. NVLS) are at better valuations (at least at some measures) and also have outperformed AMAT recently [see siliconinvestor.com and siliconinvestor.com ]. So my question is why would anyone rather hold AMAT over them. Is it because AMAT is providing one-stop shopping and you think that this is a big consideration for their customers, or are there other issues.

TIA
