I was at Monringstar conference for Financial Advisors today in SF. Panel after lunch included Kevin Landis of First hand Funds.

Panelists were asked to list their top stocks going forward. Landis' second stock was Wind. He described them as the "franchise player in the embedded space."

After panel ended he was available for some questions. I asked him what he thought of Wind's relationship to and handling of the financial community (analysts). He said that relatively few analysts cover Wind and that Wind's story is not easy to understand. He added that the number of analysts following Wind is increasing.

He concluded by indicating that he is not concerned by this. He said once the results begin showing up (and I got the sense he expected them to), he said the sharks (all street in general and analysts in particular) will smell the blood (the good results) and begin circling.
