OT Copyrights and Copywrongs

It's difficult to protect intelectual property. Simply: You can sell it and you still have it.

Enterntainment firms can sell any amount of their wares but they still own them.

Ideas are very hard to be 'owned' as well. I remember the first time I was 'robbed'. I pass one idea -back in the 80's- to a former Telstra executive. I wrote him if he would build a business on that idea he would hire me. He answered that he would give some thoughts.

I never heard of him until some five years later while working with some Aussies I ask about the executive. They told me that the person has resigned and build a consultancy. He was doing exactly what I told him it would be a good business.

I learned that only if you build upon your idea it has value. If you articulate it out someone would use it and do not owe anything to you.
