Wireless phone application service providers (ASPs), program-like services that sit atop other programs and browsers. PASS: E-commerce portals such as Amazon or Chapters are tough models for anyone who wants to finance right now." Cindy Gordon of XDL Intervest Caital Corp. "BUY: Anyone who has the firstmover advantage, such as those firms coming out of the gate on ASPs or wireless apps. PASS: Anyone with fuzzy or unpredictable profitability targets. If you can't be assured of revenue and profitability in the first three years, then we're more likely to give it a pass." IIA seems to fit the "BUY" bill.
