Samsung SDI Develops 65-In. Plasma Display Panel August 25, 2000 (SEOUL) -- Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. announced Aug. 24 that it has developed a 65-in. plasma display panel (PDP) for digital TV, which it claims is the world's largest. The product, called 65-inch Plus, is 8.4cm in width and will be mass-produced starting next year. Samsung SDI released a 63-inch PDP four months ago and now supplies a 42-inch product to its affiliate, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Samsung SDI expects to sell 2,500 PDPs this year, and 52,000 units in 2001 at home and abroad.
