ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 25, 2000--View Systems
Inc. (OTCBB:VYST), a developer, marketer and seller of a digital video
systems for the security and surveillance industries, today announced
that an internationally recognized hotel chain has chosen View
Systems' flagship SecureView(TM) product for installation at 36 of its
hotel locations. The estimated retail value of the contract to View
Systems is in excess of $375,000.
The contract was won following a two-phase pilot installation
project, which was secured by Integrated Security Technology (IST), a
Chicago-based security systems integrator and member of View Systems'
value-added reseller network. The contract calls for IST to roll-out
the SecureView(TM) system at 36 of the hotel's locations, networking
approximately 40 cameras per location. Due to the sensitive nature of
the security program, the customer has required that its name not be
released.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug 10, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- View Systems, Inc. (OTC BB:
VYST), a developer, marketer, and seller of a digital video systems for the
security and surveillance industries, today announced that Northern Computer, a
View Systems co-development partner, has agreed to purchase 100 SecureView-4
systems, representing a retail value in the range of $350,000 to $400,000.
The 100-unit sale is related to View Systems' SecureView(TM) line of digital
recording, remote-monitoring systems, which allows users to view existing closed
circuit television systems remotely, using ordinary phone lines.
Rather than storing video and audio output on VCR tapes, the SecureView system
stores output on computer hard discs, which allows users to gain immediate
access to stored data by performing controlled searches for the desired data.
And, the SecureView systems can be programmed to take action when events, such
as motion, are detected in the surveillance area.

View Systems recently demonstrated the first real world automated facial
recognition access control system for Northern Computer at View Systems' annual
meeting held on August 4, 2000. The system, marketed under the FaceView(TM)
trade name, is a facial identification system for identifying individuals for
purposes of access control.
Using cameras installed at an entryway, FaceView captures an individual's face
when they present themselves to the system. Then, the system converts this
facial information into digital format that is transmitted over phone lines to a
computer-processing unit. Next, the facial information is compared against a
database, and a quick and accurate identification is found.
This resulting information can be used to permit or deny a person access to a
restricted area.
