Mutual Funds AGAIN, AT THESE LEVELS MF SELLING WILL BE MINIMAL AND THE SAME FOLKS WHO SOLD TO DRESS UP PORTFOLIOS WILL BE BACK WHEN STOCK BEGINS LONG UPWARD CLIMB 3. Index investment. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE HAPPENED THIS YEAR. I THINK NEXT MOVE FOR OVERALL MARKET IS UP SO INDEX INVESTMENTS SHOULD HELP NOT HURT MSFT 4. Fundamentals. MAINFRAME AND OTHER SOFTWARE COMPANIES TOOK IT ON THE CHIN AND DID DISAPPOINT--WE KNOW THAT EVEN IF THERE ARE NO SURPRISES THIS QUARTER, SOFTWARE WILL BE BACK IN THE NEXT ONE. WATCH THE NUMBERS. WHAT WE HAD WAS A Y2K BACKLASH. DO YOU EXPECT THIS TO HAPPEN AGAIN? I DO NOT. 5. Product pipeline. Microsoft simply has no innovative product plans that are of any interest to consumers. THIS IS AN EXTREME VIEW. I WILL LET OTHERS WHO ARE MORE KNOWLEDGABLE THAN I GET INTO THIS WITH YOU 6. Restructuring. Microsoft is going to be split up(MAYBE), and the reason they are fighting so desperately to prevent this is because AppsCo and OpsCo are worth less apart than together(I DONT BUY THAT). INNOVATION BY THE 2 NEW ENTITIES WILL TAKE CARE OF THAT. ADMITTEDLY IT COULD BE BUMPY BUT THATS IN THE STOCK. WHAT HAPPENS IF APPEALS OVERTURNS THE RULING. WHAT WOULD THE STOCK GO UP TO THEN? And no, I'm not paid to post this, nor have I a short interest. Like Charles Tutt, I'm just here to enjoy the show. THIS IS A SHOW. THIS IS A BORING BOARD.
