Your paranoia is showing. I am a product of public schools and agnostic BTW. Your misunderstanding of celestial mechanics is rather abyssmal. The moon, contrary to your misunderstanding, orbits the center of gravity of the earth, flipping the poles would have little to no effect on the earth's center of gravity, hence little to no effect on the orbit of the moon. Your rant about "fundamentalists starting schools and grabbing our tax vouchers" just shows that you would rather throw mud than actually approach the subject on it's merits. This also shows your total lack of intellectual honesty.

Though Velikovsky's theory about Venus is apparently wrong many of his theories turned out to be correct, for example that comets would have large amounts of hydrocarbons. Your attempt to dismiss anything Velikovsky ever said because he was wrong about one or even many things betrays the fact that, even if you have been educated in the scientific method, you are apparently incapable of applying it in an evenhanded way. Your dogmatic denial of the possibility of Pole Shift is more akin to a fundie's denial of evolution than you would find comfortable if you were able to look at yourself objectively.

BTW since when did they become "your" tax vouchers. It is my understanding that even Fundamentalists pay taxes. It is you (by supporting the educrats' positions) and the educrats that have taken their taxes and say to them "Send your kids to the government school or kiss your money goodby." Now that's really fair, isn't it.
