Windows 2000 is a big departure from NT, because:

1) Driver inkompatibility. Unless Creative Labs, Logitech, NVidia, HP and other companies are just morons because their NT drivers have problems or less functinality with Windows 2000.
2) Changed functionality so much, that IT departments need reeducation to handle Windows 2000 correctly.

If you compare Windows 95 and Windows 98 you will see an operating systems upgrade that has very little influence on drivers and IT education.
