What are the odds of intelligent life forming on a planet? -- and what are the odds that the Earth, (which needed a moon just about the size of Luna to create large enough tidal forces to create an environment conducive to ocean life) would get just such a moon? And... what are the odds that that moon was just the right size and in just the right orbit for its disk to cover the disk of the sun in the sky creating total eclipses? Face it, in an almost infinite universe odds mean very little. FT
