dybdahl - W2K on laptops is very hot. In the last 3 months, virtually everyone I know has shifted - some because they bought new laptops with Win2K installed, and some because they wanted the improved features and stability. As a laptop OS, Win2K is way ahead of Win9X - much more reliable and flexible power management, dock-undock, not to mention the road warrior features like built in tunneling and enhanced IP recognition. I run it myself and have not shut down my laptop in months - I just hibernate. This lets me boot up with my context preserved in about 10 seconds. Sure you can do that (maybe, sometimes) with Win9X, but does Win9X automatically discover and configure for current device and IP when coming out of hibernation? No - but Win2K does, and does it right. I go into a hotel room and hook to their DSL line, restore, and Whammo, I'm on the net, no muss no fuss...
