Good idea, Dave.

IMO the one redeeming quality of the attached T&S is that you can hit F9 to toggle it on and off. At the open, the T&S is often worthless due to the late prints. Also, if a stock is really screaming - example, 25AUG00 EMLX after the halt - removing the T&S will help it not freeze up on you. With the separate T&S window, you can save it to favorites and just close it and call it back up later, but you do have to link the window to your L2 MM window again.
