ML rates VSH at a higher risk rating. I assume that the leveraged nature of VSH is one that assumes it is an acquirer of companies which presupposes debt in order to finance the purchases. I am not familiar with the ratios you mentioned and I have not heard that VSH predicted that it would be debt free. All companies wish to be debt free.
