Stephens: and, and and he worked 19 years for Exxon, and he heard about the project not too long ago, and he got to praying about it, and he called me, and we got to talking about it, and I went down to Huston, and just happened to get to spend the night at his home with his precious wife Suzzane,

And, and all of a sudden, God spoke to his heart, and he quit a 19 ½ year job with all that security and with all those benefits from Exxon to come up here, and he says “I have chosen [uh] … I have laid down security for destiny”” that’s his quote

Stephens: No!!

Stephens: You’re kidding me

Stephens: Praise God! Well he’s a, he’s a logistics man, I mean he he puts things together, knows when to move, how to move, and all that, which is so vital when you’re moving this kind of equipment. See we’re talking about eighty, at least eighty eighteen-wheeler loads for this oil rig.
Announcer: Wow!

Stephens: That’s God’s rig, brother, That’s God’s rig

Announcer: you know the exciting thing is, so many times, as a matter of fact, most of the time, most folks would just get all of their other oil buddies and they’d run off over there and guys that already have piles and piles and piles of money anyway, let’s go get more money, you’re a Christian, pastor oil man that is saying “hey guys, let’s get the little feller [uh] let’s get the Christians, lets get the people that believe in God’s kingdom, and let’s get them invested in this” (and we’re not suggesting that you invest in this by the way, but I mean this is our heart both Hayseeds and mine), “let’s get God’s kingdom to have a little bit of money flow as a matter of fact a lot of money”
Stephens: A lot of money
Announcer: A lot of money flowing into it for God’s use in these last days, Amen.
Stephens: Well, I’ll tell you what I’ve done, I’ve turned down five different groups that, that, if I recall, which if I can and I wouldn’t, that [uh] that have come to me, with the thirty-five million dollars that we need to drill,

And and I’ve turned them down. And, and I’ll tell you why that was Stan, and this is the first time that I’ve ever said this publically, I’ve said it to my wife publically, but but that’s just right with her I guess,. but I I really am, I’m ready to even if I’ve got to lose this lease I’m ready to wait, because I know in my heart of hearts that God wants to take this wealth that he’s stored up four thousand years ago when he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah which was the first oil boom towns in the world, he stored it up for this time because Ezekiel 15:53 says “in the last days, I shall restore the fortunes of Sodom” and I know it’s to take the gospel
Announcer: Amen
Stephens: throughout the whole world brother
Announcer: Amen
Stephens: And so consequently, I, I, I’m not in business to make the devil’s people rich,
Announcer: Amen
Stephens: I’m in business so that Gods word can go and, if, if this isn’t what God

Wants then then that’s His business. But that’s where I’m standing right now at this point in time.
