Hemiguy, I agree with you: this is why SBC will make money on this idea, and even with the additional $20 cost per month and the $ 198 shipping charge (but you would pay sales taxes ow), it still a good deal for people. Extending your contract is normal once you have ADSL. Would you go back to dial-up modem? In all, it looks like a win-win-win (SBC, clients and Compaq). Better than owning NPNT which looses 3 times the revenues. regards, Alfredo
