Did you notice pauL's observation: "How do you describe the 20 Watt difference - in Intel's favor - merely considerable ?"

I think that he could strengthen the argument by pointing out how many more 1.1 Gig Athlons there are out there than the scant sampling of 1.13 peeiiI's. Athlons, in total, probably consume many, many more kilowatts of power than do the similar speed peeiiI's. I wonder why he chooses to ignore that argument.

In due course inteL may do its part to save a lot of energy as users, more and more, turn them off.
