These are the guys that used to make the IBM printers before being spun off. They have been taking a hit recently because they are grouped with HP in the printer arena. However, they reported record earnings, which were 10% higher than last year when the alliance with IBM was still in effect. Considering IBM was 30% or their sales, this is quite an increase. Also, they just got the coveted Editor's Choice award in PC Magazine over HP.

If this sounds like marketing hype, it is, because Lexmark's booth is across the way from mine at the conference here is Orlando.

Also here is Zack Urlocker, Borland's head marketing guru as well as many other bigwigs. No Bill Gates, however-- so far <g>.
