And NEVER place a market order when you are not continually monitoring the market and the security and the trade. I used to never place market orders, but I seem to use them about 25% of the time now. With EMLX some people may have placed market orders to buy seeing the 65 and under price, and not monitored the halt and resumption. I know one person who panicked (or followed her limit rules) and placed a sell order just before the halt and it didn't get executed, and during the halt I got her to cancel it. Maybe the opening resumption trades were at ~120, but she got out at 108. What were the first trades after trading resumed?
