dont aim to educate wanted to see how many times I could say "Arabic" in the same post, uw is so famous for his ??? responses btw, I'm back and preparing to contribute some of my experiences to the thread under the "California Journal" title. It was quite a trip, but the experiences add up to nothing, so I have no fear that anyone will be overly enriched or taxed in trying to read them. I also developed a very quick and dirty system for a kind of on-site research for a brief (total maybe two hours) tour of seven Silicon Valley companies. It turned out to be even less useful than I could have hoped, so it ought to fit right in here. I will share that system here, but I haven't written it up yet. I have to be careful lest something more useful come out in that process than was actually applied at the time. That may take more thought than went into the system to begin with.
