Here's a thought. It's been a long 14 hour workday (on a Saturday no less!), so I may be a little off base.

I'm watching NFL2night and the theme keeps coming up, "what are you going to do about your quarterback?"

OK, I know it's a big gamble, but if I ran the show I would put Hasslebeck up on the blocks. The guy could arguably start on 20 NFL teams. Now is the best time, the guy has had a GREAT preseason. He has a LOT of value right now. Of course you would be gambling that Brett "the Ironman" Favre will last the whole season. But you've got to admit, Hasslebeck will turn out like Detmer and Brunell. He could be traded now with some value, or let go later for who knows what.

I have no idea what we could get for the guy, but a linebacker, O-lineman, or D-lineman would REALLY help this year.

We'd be gambling that our Ironman would be OK, but do we really have any doubts? Hell, it seems like the guy has been almost out FOREVER, but he manages to start every game. I don't like Weurful as a backup, but I don't like the positions I mentioned as a trade either.

I'm sure we won't do it, but it's something to make you go hmmm.....
