HACKENSACK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 24, 2000--ObjectSoft Corporation (Nasdaq Small Cap: OSFT) announced today that its interactive FastTake(R) video kiosks would be debuting in 9 Wal-Mart stores (NYS: WMT) across the country by the end of October, 2000.
The installation in the Wal-Mart stores is part of a program offered by Serendipity Leasing Corp. ("Serendipity") whereby Serendipity installs mini Blockbuster Inc. (NYSE: BBI) video outlets in select store locations.
The FastTake kiosks run movie trailers which introduce the retail audiences to movies they are considering renting or buying. These kiosks also allow the users to search for movies based on minimum information such as partial title, name of actor, subject, theme etc., even when they don't know the exact title.
George J. Febish, President and Co-CEO, said: "This marks another milestone in the history of the Company's development and in the acceptance of FastTake. The introduction of this sleek, smart, hi-tech and user friendly product in one of the most recognizable retail chains in the world shows that FastTake is quickly gaining acceptance nationwide. We are proud to be working with Serendipity Leasing (Blockbuster) and Wal-Mart on this project."
Through the agreement with Serendipity, the FastTake kiosks will be installed in Wal-Mart's stores in the following locations: Georgetown, SC; Douglas, GA; Brooksville, FL; Murray, KY; Belen, NM; Billings, MT; Great Falls, MT; Helena, MT and Chubbock, ID.
