No kidding. You think this proves something? If you had checked this same data back in 1997 you would have found that the most popular word processing system was from 1995. The market slowly adopts the new versions and it always has. If you check back in 2002 you will find that Word 2000 is the most widely used word processing system, but will that prove that Word 2002 (or whatever it is called) is not a superior product destined for widespread adoption?

The answer is obviously no.
