<This is precisely the societal bias that mlnm mentions in presentations, the broad belief that obesity equals laziness. They believe in a genetic link to obesity and probably have the pharmaceutical industries largest effort in the area.>

I agree that conventional thinking is incorrect [the sedintary lifestyle is main culprit in obesity explosion] and also believe in 'genetic linkage'. However, my feeling is that the genetic link would be much more useful in discovering 'what not to do' than in creating a drug allowing one to continue on eating and being exposed to things that they weren't 1/2 century ago.

My experience is that cleaning out my body and changing diet to help keep it that way gave me much more energy, and therefore allowed me to be more active, not the other way around [ie. get off your butt and work it off].

<I assume you don't really believe that mlnm is a one-product or one-therapeutic category biotech.>

No, I'm just biased I guess by being around here long enough [as we all have] to see companies piss away their futures on one indication. I understand no one here thinks much of a % is being spent on obesity drug research, so I'm going to hold some.

Thanks
