By far, at least as far as I'm concerned, the most important and potentially profitable product Abiomed has to offer is the total implantable artificial heart. However, I'm not certain if the artificial heart will resolve the rejection problem, or present other problems, such as lethal blood clots. If rejection and blood clots can be resolved, the artificial heart may someday be better than a natural donor heart. Do you agree? Do you have any information on these aspects of Abiomed's total implantable artificial heart program?
