<Clinton's attempts to turn our once fantastic medical into a HMO type system has eliminated coverage for my family and turned my own health into a joke.>
I don't think you can place the primary blame on Clinton here. Medical coverage has degenerated into a HMO type of system for many who work for the City, State and Federal Government in non-Military jobs too.
The backlash began in the 80's when Reagan and Bush phased out the tax deduction for entrepreneurs in regard to their medical costs and expenses. That was a very unwise move by the previous Republican Administration and something which Clinton is presently rectifying for Small Business Owners. The fact of the matter is that Clinton is more sensitive to the needs of the small businessman than the Previous Republican Administration ever was.
Most people on these threads think of business plans and strategies solely in terms of the Fortune 500 companies; but they fail to realize that the life blood of this economy lies in the success of all the small business owners who have sales reaching up to 5M. I understand that, of course, because small business' like mine do not trade on the NYSE or Nasdaq. But I do compete against publicly traded companies and I whip their but and take business away from them every week because I am lean, mean, flexible and provide better service. I'm a Guerilla business man who employs Guerilla marketing business strategies.
As for the moral degeneracy that you accuse Clinton of, this was no more apparent than the way in which the bitter Republican Congress went after Clinton in regard to his extra-marital affairs. Mind you, I'm not endorsing adultery as a valid way of life. The mistake Clinton made is that he should have been totally honest, admitting to the affair, since it is not a crime to commit adultery.
As for your misfortune in regard to your knee, my heart goes out to you. I am not in any shape or form opposed to a strong military in this country. In that respect, I depart from Clinton, who is completely insensitive to the needs of the Military and who, like Johnson and Nixon before him, use Military Personnel as Guinea Pigs to serve their own selfish purposes. Although I was an outspoken critic of the Vietnam War, I do have respect for those who serve in the Military and I am well aware of the dangers involved in battle and war, as I fought in the Arab/Israeli War, as a teenager in the late 60's. I am opposed to the misuse of the Military from both sides of the spectrum, from the Dovish and Hawkish side. I do think military personnel should get the best in medical treatment and attention and the respect they deserve.
Gore did serve in the Armed forces in this country so I would not put him in the same category as Clinton just yet.
PS I hope your knee recovers fully. |
