The cheap keyboards dont use springs, they use rubber mats with little indents that stick up. I am not sure if even the microsoft keyboards use prings anymore. I have only seen springs on the IBM keyboards which actually have the click/lock as you type keys, I used to love those since I could actually feel the letters striking on the monitor as I typed. Must be all this agressive tendencies I have. So what you are hearing is prob like squeek squeek..
