(PR NEWSWIRE) Daw Technologies, Inc. Announces New Contract Additions Totalin Daw Technologies, Inc. Announces New Contract Additions Totaling Approximately $750,000
SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Daw Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: DAWK), announced today it has been awarded contract additions to existing cleanroom contracts for various customers in the United States for approximately $750,000. These contract additions are scheduled to begin immediately and will be completed by December 31, 2000. The scope of the contract additions include additional design, engineering and installation of cleanroom partition systems, filtered ceiling systems, air delivery systems, and raised access floor systems. "These contract additions represent continuing evidence of the recovery taking place in the construction of cleanroom facilities in the United States. As the semiconductor industry completes its recovery, it is beginning to more aggressively expand capital spending budgets for equipment and facilities," stated Ronald W. Daw, President and Chief Executive officer of Daw Technologies. Mr. Daw continued, "Based on the increased bid activity we have seen in the last two months, we are becoming very optimistic about the strength of the recovery and the prospect for growth throughout the remainder of this year and next year -- both in new facilities and expansions". "While we are starting to see new greenfield projects for bid within North America, we are also seeing the continuation of expansion of existing facilities. Many of our current projects are Design-Build contracts, thus the award of these contract additions of existing facilities demonstrates the Company's ability to perform in the engineering arena. As virtually all of the major chip manufacturers area beginning to experience capacity constraints, they are looking for quick and less expensive, yet well engineered ways in which to expand their capacity in order to satisfy demand and maintain market share. We believe the Company has a competitive advantage in its ability to respond rapidly to its customers need for additional capacity in a very short period of time," Mr. Daw concluded.
Daw Technologies, Inc. provides ultra-clean manufacturing environments for customers throughout the world and specializes in the design, engineering, and installation of cleanroom systems that meet stringent semiconductor manufacturing requirements.
