Chip, just look at the heating oil market Ho00v and the
Natural gas markets (NG0V) for examples of trending markets.

COTTON and sugar have also trended nicely.

and the euro has certainly been in a downtrend.

even when the nasd was trending back in 1995-1998 the
corrections made it seem like those trends might have
ended.

I think that the speeding up of the information cycle is
having an impact on some markets but many of the same type
of cyclical patterns are still out there.

It is an interesting topic of conversation. and I think
that one can come up with cases both pro and con.
