Selects SUN Microsystems' Unix Based Operating System to Provide a Faster and More Reliable Network SARASOTA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 2000--DNAPrint genomics, Inc. (Pink Sheets:DNAP) announced today that it has upgraded its hardware computing platform to a Sun Sparc network system designed by Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq:SUNW - news). The upgrade allows the company to run its computationally intensive algorithms on a faster and more economical scale, with greater extensibility and scalability. Until now, the company has used a Linux-based PC network. The SUN system will remain completely isolated from the Internet during the early stages of the company.
