First off let me say that I like what you are attempting to do here. I believe that in order to truly beat the market you need to be much more specific in your searches (screens) to quantify data from sectors rather than the entire market. Investment dollars seem to find there way into stocks in those sectors in favor much more readily than those out of favor. This has been a tough market but there are signs that it is improving. Run screens on the sectors that interest you the most and then familiarize yourself with the trading patterns of those individual stocks that really spark your individual interest. Once you know the patterns you can make money time and again even off of stocks like WDC which has not made a penny for shareholders in ages.
