But seriously, I would be very satisfied if a majority of the people (we are talking about the world now not just US) have 'easy access' to a telephone leave alone internet access.

The gap between the rich and the poor keeps increasing everyday. And the poor tend to have more children making it worse for them to get out of the shackles of poverty. Their main gola in life is find a way to buy the next meal for their family.
