re: process fix.

I don't think its a process problem.

Apparently some kind of marginal timing or race condition.

They can likely do a short term tweak in metal layers.

Thats why they can use current base WIP and may have product in October.

If its an all layer fix.

Assume 1 week for tweak.
2 weeks for rocket lots.
2 weeks for validation.
Then 8-12 weeks for production.

That translates to end of Q4 if everything goes well.

Just as a reminder.

AMD had a similar problem.

They did a metal mask fix in december.

And suddenly products dropped in speed even further.

Intel won't have much time for validation and production history on new fix to get parts later this year.
