Darrell - the notion that MSD is doing all of this selling to do estate planning is the biggest pile of crap I have ever heard. Of all the lame excuses posted here, this has to be the most ridiculous. MSD and his family already have billions which are not in DELL stock. Surely he and his family for multiple generations can live like kings without taking another dime out of DELL. There are multiple ways that MSD can arrange to have his DELL holdings managed in a way which does not expose them to Uncle Sam - they just don't pass to the DELL heirs in any direct way either. I'm sure there are other ways to manage things which provide long term benefit - I am no trust expert but I know the basics. If IR really said something like that I am surprised that you took them seriously.
