I am surprised no one responded to my post regarding radiation level labeling for handsets being the death knell of WCDMA. Gilder, in his latest report, stated that wcdma results in more complex and expensive chips and more power consumption. WCDMA adjusts power levels 1600 times a second rather than CDMA's 800 times a seconds, but because those signals can't be coded for error correction, more power is used. Thus, just at the time that consumers, health authorities and governmental regulators are becoming concerned over the power output, the GSM cabal wants to maintain control and profits by continuing to cook their customers' brains. A cdma2000 carrier can advertise the microwave comparison in direct competition to a wcdma carrier and ask the question why X carrier wants to subject their customers to more microwaves.

(If I have compared technological apples to oranges, someone in the engineering know, please correct.)
