So Stan and Iris win another award as chemestry heroes!

I recently went into a small town in the middle of nowhere (Lloydminster, Alberta pop. 14,000) I was able to buy NiMH batteries and charger for a reasonable price. Both were hidden behind a support beam. When I asked the sales person which rechargeable battery was best. She said she didn't know but beings as the NiMH batteries cost more they were probably better. I can now buy these batteries at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Radio Shack and Maiers. Soon I can imagine that cordless drills and other flash equipment will have the individual 'AA' cells instead of the ridiculously priced battery packs. $28.00 for 8 cells instead of $40.00 for an 8 cell pack. My Nikon 8008 uses 8 'AA' cells; is it ever convenient to use. I kept cells on the charger every night during my vacation. I would say that I would have paid for the cost of the charger and batteries on this trip alone.
Stan was right ECD products are everywhere now. The CD RW format although a compromise is fast developing into a de facto standard much as the now nearly antique 3-1/2".

I am extremely curious as to our surge suppressor technology as well as the reflective coating technology. These are in production now and should be earning the company some decent royalties.
