WOW.com users, Variable Template available now.

Click below and then click on 'Variable Template'. Save this chart template into any folder, making note of which one you put it in. (If the new file gets renamed in the process, you will have to manually rename it to 'CMGI0001.TPL'. The WOW.com program looks only for files with an extension of '.TPL'.)

briefcase.yahoo.com

After you have successfully downloaded and renamed it, if necessary, you then need to create a new chart in windowonwallstreet.com using that chart template you just saved.

In WOW.COM,

Click File.
Click New.
Click Chart.
Key in CMGI (or any SYMBOL) in 'Security Symbol'.
Choose either 'DAILY VIEW' OR 'MINUTE BARS'.
Key Minute bars, if necessary: 1 (or 5 or 20, any number)
Click 'Browse' at the bottom.
Navigate to the folder that contains the downloaded file.
(If it is in c:\, double-click that line.)
Click OK.
Click that down arrow just above the Browse button.
Click on "Variable Template".
Click OK.

After creating a chart using the Variable Template, the user can then pick and choose what indicators they want and delete the rest. The Variable Template has these plots in separate panes:

price (with 2 exponential moving averages)

MACD AND MACD HISTOGRAM (with 3 modifiable variables so that one can choose 8-17-9, 12-26-9, or any other periods, on the fly)

OBV

volume (color-coded to up/down periods, plus a 10-period simple moving average)

Stochastics Fast (with 2 modifiable variables, %K and %D)

Stochastics Slow (with 2 modifiable variables, %K and %D ---I prefer the Sto Slow to the Sto Fast, but you can delete whichever one you don't want)

To change the parameters of an indicator, click on it to select it, then
Click Format
Click Plot Parameters
Change the parameters
Click OK
Drink beer until the chart makes sense to you.
