res- I really don't care whether Clinton technically committed perjury or obstruction of justice, in the legal definition of the terms.

That just about says it all. You don't care if a Democratic President is basically a criminal. But you wax on-and-on bemoaning the private family affairs of Republican congressmen, based on innuendo and a few news clips.

Here's another thing of note flapjack. You had to come kicking and screaming to this point of admitting anything Bill ever did was wrong. And it's always prefaced with a "but I don't really care" note.

By the way, I really don't care a bit what you think the 'American people' want to talk about or not. And I think it's rather presumptuous of you to be speaking for a majority of Americans. You may not like to hear about President Clinton and the illegal issues of the past. Fine, click 'next' and ignore my postings if you like.

As far as what's relevant to the Presidential elections. You better believe it's relevant. The way in which Gore and Lieberman acted without principle is certainly relevant when judging character if you ask me. And it goes to the heart of why Gore is going so out of his way to distance himself from the past administration. It's all about. "I'm my own man" now. Yeah, well what happened to you a year and a half ago when you should have stood up and said the right things in order to defend the "rule of law"?

Personally, I am tired of politicians like Gore who will say anything in order to get elected. Show me deeds, not droning words, principles, not platitudes, integrity, not self interest, decency, not denial and obfuscation.

We need new leadership, willing to bring a semblance of honor and decency back to the Oval Office. I'm not certain Bush can do it, but I am certain Gore can't!

Maybe I'm just naive, but I think it's a good thing when our children can look up to the President as someone special, worthy of a certain level of admiration and respect.

This election is more about 'character' than public policy, because the electorate has had a gagging mouth full of low character for the last 8 years. Don't fool yourself otherwise.
