Michael:

I really touched a raw nerve with you.

You wrote: "You don't care if a Democratic President is basically a criminal. But you wax on-and-on bemoaning the private family affairs of Republican congressmen, based on innuendo and a few news clips."

They're not based on innuendo and a few news clips. They're based on the Flynt Report, which obtained the information the old-fashioned, American way: by paying big bucks for it. And what does "basically a criminal" mean? Like Richard Nixon?

Burton has acknowledged fathering the child and then taking no part in his upbringing. Clinton, right before the Democratic convention, acknowledged (I believe to a group of black ministers) that he sinned and is sorry for what he did.

The president has said "I'm sorry" on several occasions now.

Do we really need to keep prosecuting the guy from every conceivable angle? What purpose do you think that would serve other than to humiliate him further? Do you really think a jury would convict the guy of anything?

I supported President Ford's pardon of Richard Nixon in '74 because the country needed to move forward. Nixon committed enough crimes to be put away for 40 years.

This latest grand jury looking into possible crimes by Clinton is a sham. Just another example of an eager-beaver prosecutor trying to make a name for himself.

This country would be better off if we closed down about 3/4 of the law schools.
