The company I work for has a large fleet of trucks in central america. We are in the process of installing fleet tracking and the project is being run by a close friend. I asked him if he had looked into satellite systems and he said yes. But he went with cellular because of cost. The satellite system was $300 a month compared to less then 50 for a cellular system. Cellular coverage in the area is good and meets our needs.

Just some food for thought.
