Hi Bob .. I think that we may be seing the unwinding of a large arp play that has been in place for a while now .. The arb play was long stocks and short the sp00 .. This generated a very large OI for the September contract. The idea, I believe, was to unload this arb well before now .. Now the players are caughe between a rock and hard place. Multiple choise: A roll over the contracts into December .. however this represents an opportunity for other arb players .. B cover. I think that we may be seeing this one. Prem stays up while stocks go down .. FWIW .. IMHO
