Cramer made this call re AMD earlier. At that time it DID look like AMD was going up 4 on the intraday chart. However an hour into trading, the bottom fell out and the stock has not recovered. I wonder if this action was due to the analyst news that AMD would not be able to take advantage of the Intel screw up.

Slow-Motion Market
By James J. Cramer

The markets have been slow to react to news of late. On Friday, for example, QLogic (QLGC:Nasdaq), which should have been plummeting immediately if the Emulex (EMLX:Nasdaq) hoax were true, fell a little bit then turned and rallied huge, before dropping 40 points. Yesterday the American Home Products (AHP:NYSE) news came out about the diet drug settlement and the stock did nothing until after the close, when it jumped a dollar.

I looked at Advance Micro (AMD:NYSE) yesterday off the Intel (INTC:Nasdaq) glitch, thinking, "Heck, that's probably a good buy." But it wasn't moving, so I figured maybe I was wrong!

Turns out AMD is rocking now, and it looks like it is up four.
Go with your gut here. The market is simply playing out in slow motion. The cues we get from the market just aren't right right now. Maybe next week when everyone is back. But right now, the market's been wrong as much as it has been right. Because desks aren't fully staffed and analysts are all on vacation.
