Any comments? more oil industry news.. by: longwebb (69/M/jackstrawwichita) 8/29/00 12:30 pm Msg: 67508 of 67511 I work for an oil services company and we are having a meeting with a company that is taking the internal workings of the QCOM G* phone and manipulating it to use for tank monitoring etc. I am told by the president of this company that there are at least 4 MAJOR OIL companies in testing for well head monitoring. I found out about this company by calling the head of Telemetry for QCOM who put me in touch with this company. In addition, the head of telemtry at QCOM said the production lines for these types of systems will be going on board in late september, and that they already cannot keep up with the demand. He also stated that he has bought shares in the last 30 days and that "data will save G*" and that he doubts highly that QCOM will walk away from the table.
