I have been wondering the same thing for months. They probably make as much PROFIT off of one Xeon as anywhere from
50-100 celerons. (just a rough guess, $500 per Xeon and $5-10 per celeron) It seems like a mis-allocation of fab space to me.


Your probably right, but I think Intel doesn't want to lose market share even if they would make more money selling less chips. Also at some point if they kept increasing Xeon production they would have to charge less for them.
