12:14 ET Amazon.com (AMZN) 39 11/16 +9/16 (+1.4%): -- Update -- Merrill Lynch analyst Henry Boldget considers announcement of Amazon France as positive with revenue increase for 2001 at approximately $75 mln to $100 mln; however expects will lose roughly $25 mln (about 25% of AMZN's projected operating loss in 2001 of $99 million). Estimates that $3 mln-$4 mln of company's operating losses last quarter attributable to the launch of the France site. AMZN already the largest e-commerce company in Europe with international growth potentially reaching 50% of revenue in 5 years. Short term impact of news limited but expects company to benefit from upcoming holiday shopping; rates ACCUMULATE.
