Do you prefer HGSI

Last time I gave a serious look at biotech was about 3½ years ago. Seemed as though there were a plethora of small companies each trying to "hit a home run" prior to burning up their cash. Some would make it; most wouldn't. Not being in that field I had no way of determining which would. Moreover in trying to locate some "expert" advice, I became disillusion at the abilities of others to spot the winners in this field.

Now I realize this is very different from what you are doing with your afterhours trading strategy. Also to bet on the Genome Project I took a (small) position in INCY and HGSI (this was long before CRA existed). These are long term (multi-year) positions with which I'm quite happy. The only short term biotech money I've made is shorting (selling covered and naked calls) in last spring's mania. That was a psychology play rather than a biotech play

Good luck in biotech. There's certainly money to be made in the sector, I just don't know how to do it. You know my Eastwood quote: "A man's got to know his limitations".

All the best...
