Joe Kennedy also sold his stock early in '29, but that story was about Baruch. Don't know what Kennedy saw that spooked him. That said, kids have been investing in this market for years, but 7 is the most extreme that I've heard. I found the anecdotes about elderly women selling blue chips and buying Nets more disturbing. Interestingly, the only indexes with patterns that mirror '24-'29 are Nasdaq and the Nets. The other interesting point is that neither sector has broken its downtrend yet - the '29-'32 market was the only bear market that never broke its downtrend. I doubt we're looking at a 90% decline here, but so far the parallels are fair.
