Razor: Do you realize that with 1 Billion barrels in Sudan and 150 MM reserve in Oman, the Oman stake is just as high and a faster route to positive cash flow? After all, Arakis gets only about 1/4 of the billion barrels in Sudan, it will take 3 years to start and see it flowing, and, the Sudanese are getting a heavy bite (about 50% on the average). While in Oman Arakis own 70% of the concession and I believe the Oman Gov. take is much smaller, but most important, the field is only 50 miles from existing gas and oil pipeline infrastructure, thus immediate cash flow. I think Luftur is right in insisting on continuing the efforts in Oman. Luftur's interest is a bigger pipeline now, and pipeline concessions for IPC (they have the 5A concession west of Umm Sagura).
