Lets keep in mind that these are spectrum auctions, no one is forcing the carriers to bid too high. What system would you prefer, lottery? government allocation? free for all? The market is determining what the spectrum is worth, as it should. It is too bad that the proceeds end up in government coffers. I believe the high prices paid are in anticipation of technology advances that will allow more and more data to be crammed in that space. Maybe these carriers are demonstrating superior VISION. Pete
